The Team Monier Veterinary Clinic

Monier Veterinary Clinic was opened in 2010, when a small clinic from Oxley was relocated to a modern purpose built clinic at Monier Village. Here they are able to offer a more complete range of health care services for your pet.  Lucilla Pratt is the Owner and Senior Veterinary Surgeon and was joined by Katrina Lewis in 2014.


Lucilla and Katrina have a passion for animals and are dedicated to their health. With regular attendance at veterinary conferences and seminars they are improving their knowledge in all areas of medicine and surgery so they can offer the most up to date health care for you and your friend.


B.V.Sc. (Hons)

Lucilla grew up and attended school in the local area. She graduated from the University of Queensland with First class Honours in 1993. She was selected as the winner of the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association prize in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in 1993 and the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists Award for Excellence in Veterinary Pharmacology

and Toxicology in 1992.

She is an experienced and dedicated veterinarian that has been providing care for the pets of the local area for the last 23 years. Lucilla is passionate about all areas of small animal practice with a particular interest in feline medicine, anaesthesia, dentistry, ophthalmology and soft tissue surgery. She also has an interest in avian medicine including the medicine and husbandry of backyard chooks.

Lucilla lives locally with her family, dogs, cats and birds. Lucilla and her husband Gavin are keen cyclists and gardeners.Lucilla’s family are founding member of the Rocks Community Farm.



Katrina Lewis

B.V.Sc. (Hons)

Katrina graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 2013. Growing up in Brisbane, Katrina had aspirations to become a veterinarian from a very young age. Katrina loves all animals, and has a strong interest in all aspects of small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry and dermatology.

In her free time, Katrina enjoys reading, keeping fit and spending time with her three legged cat Valentino and Labrador Sasha.




Chantal McKinlay

Cert IV VN, CTVN (Technician).

Chantal is a Cert IV qualified Veterinary Nurse with over 19 years experience in small animal nursing.  Chantal joined the Monier Team casually in 2010, working full time as the Senior Trainer and Assessor for Australia's leading Veterinary Nursing School.  In January 2013, Chantal joined the Monier team full time.  Small animal medicine and nursing is Chantal's expertise, but she also loves everything about Guinea Pigs and their care.  Chantal lives locally with her partner Justin, twin girls Ashley & Paige and furry children Theodore and Genevieve. 


Lynette Quinn

Cert II AS

Lynette is Brisbane born and bred, attending Oxley Secondary College.  Her background is in accounting, spending many holidays on family farms amongst the animals, she has always had a passion for animals.  Lynette has completed a Certificate II in Animal Studies, and is now enrolled to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing while working full-time at Monier Vet Clinic.  In her spare time, when not chasing a 7 years old daughter around, Lynette enjoys horse riding, craft and going on day trips with her husband.  Also at home she has 3 cats (Salam, Lugh & Mako) and 2 dogs ( Topsy & Lolli).




Andrea Duce

Cert IV VN

Andrea joined the team at Monier soon after its opening in 2010.  Andrea has been working in the veterinary industry for 8 years and has worked with Lucilla for many years.  Andrea enjoys all aspects of her work and is particularly interested in medical nursing and is excellent at calming feisty felines.  Andrea obtained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2013. In 2014 Andrea began a Bachelor in Nursing (Human).  Andrea has Bailey (Border Collie) and Leo (Ragdoll).



Alecia Evans

Alecia is a 5th year veterinary student, with a keen interest in small animal surgery and medicine, and she has previously completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology with First Class Honours. Originally from Melbourne, Alecia now lives locally with her husband, their spoilt cat Dougie, and 2 carpet pythons, Aggie and Hector.



Madeline Midson

Madeline joined the Monier Team casually in 2016 and is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
She has always had an interest in animals studying animal husbandry throughout high school.
Madeline also works as a dental nurse for a dental specialist and loves spending time with her
partner and their two miniature dachshunds Winston and Ralph.
